We would love to have you join us!
The Comfort Ye Ministry began as a burden that God gave to the founder of the ministry. It is a faith-based ministry that helps the needy without any cost to them. This ministry is solely supported by the giving of others. There are no overhead expenses. Each dollar given goes directly to help those in need. Any building expenses are covered by the Heartland Baptist Church. Church members donate their time, collecting no salary to do as God has instructed them to do—help the needy. The Comfort Ye Ministry is overseen by Sandra Santiago. She has a very tender heart for those who are elderly and infirmed. She moved to Middle Tennessee to be the primary care taker of her for 10 years of her late mother who required 24/7 care. She understands the needs that occur.
Many needs occur in the lives of the elderly and infirmed. The goal of the Comfort Ye Ministry is to meet as many of these needs as possible. Many health-care organizations and hospitals use the Comfort Ye Ministry for assisted-living equipment to aid their patients, no matter the age, in recovery. In order to know in what areas assistance is needed, we ask that you or some member of the family call and come to our office, located at 307 E. Jefferson Pike, so that we can talk. From the information gathered at that meeting, we can more efficiently meet the needs represented. We want to help all those who come to have their needs met and get to know a new friend. Contact our office for all things medical equipment by calling 615-890-3834. (We do not provide a food pantry)
The equipment room of the Comfort Ye Ministry building contains supplies that are needed by many to conduct their everyday tasks. This equipment can help bring dignity to those whose health has begun to fail them. These items are collected by the Comfort Ye Ministry for the sole purpose of giving them to those who are in need. Some equipment will need a prescription from the doctor. If a problem occurs with the equipment, One of our members will either repair the item, or the Ministry will replace the mechanical part, at no cost to the user. The only stipulation put on the equipment is that when it is no longer needed, please clean and returned to the Comfort Ye Ministry to be used by another individual.
