Over 10 years ago, it became evidently clear that too often Christians did not read their Bible as they should. Good Christians, I mean, great Christians who know their Bibles and are very faithful to their church have through the years just become too busy to read God’s Word. We therefore, at Heartland Baptist Church decided to begin a program that without force or mean behavior would encourage us Christians each Sunday evening to have a daily walk with God. The results have been phenomenal. For 15 minutes every Sunday evening we meet before the evening service for a few words of encouragement to help us in our Daily Walk with God. Dr. Terry Frala, former missionary and pastor and current employee of The Sword of the Lord has been used by God for many years to encourage our Church to have a daily walk with God. There has never been a need for forcing or pushing, but a simple, loving message from God’s Word delivered by a great servant of God has had a tremendous impact on our church.

In 2016, we began a program of reading “The Bible Through in a Year”. Dr. Frala created the plan and assisted our understanding of what we read through information and things to look for in each passage. In 2017. we will continue with the “Read Through the Bible in a Year” theme with a different directive. Dr. Frala will guide us this year through the Bible Chronologically. This intriguing way of reading God’s Word is hoped to increase our understanding of the Scriptures.
